A vertical engagement film
Sejal and Parth’s engagement teaser was filmed in a walled garden and framed vertically, for reels and stories. It is the format most couples now share first, on the phone screens where their friends and families will actually watch it.
Filming for vertical
A vertical film is planned differently from a widescreen one. The couple sits closer to the center of the frame, movement runs up and down as much as side to side, and backgrounds are chosen for height: brick walls, climbing plants, doorways and garden paths. Text and music are kept simple so the film reads on a small screen without sound as well as with it.
Why a walled garden
A walled garden gives shelter, soft even light and layers of green and brick to frame a couple, and it feels private even on a busy weekend. It also suits a short session, because several different looks sit within a few steps of each other.
What you receive
Alongside the vertical film, couples usually receive edited photographs from the same session, so the save-the-dates, the wedding website and the reels all come from one shoot. We deliver the film in the shapes you need, vertical for stories and square or widescreen for other places you share it.
Engagement sessions can include a vertical teaser, a widescreen film or photographs only. See engagement photography, browse more on the films page, or ask about your session.
