An engagement teaser in the city

Rohan and Icha’s engagement teaser runs through the city, from grand doorways to Hudson Yards. It uses the architecture of New York as its backdrop: stone entrances, polished modern towers and the long views between them.

Architecture as a backdrop

In a city film, buildings do the work that trees and water do in a garden. Old doorways frame a couple and give scale; glass and steel reflect light and add movement; open plazas let the camera pull back and show where they are. We look for places where the old and new city meet, so the film has variety without long travel between locations.

Moving through the day

We plan city sessions around the light. Early in the day, streets are quieter and shadows are long; later, reflections off glass towers warm the whole scene. Outfit changes are planned for spots where there is somewhere to change, and we keep each location short so the film keeps its pace.

Choosing your locations

Couples often pick places that mean something to them: the street where they met, the building where one of them works, or a view they walk past every day. We combine one or two of those with a couple of spots chosen for light and space, so the film feels personal and still looks considered.
